Doctor in Sciences, Genetic specialty at the Universidade Federal de Rio de Janeiro (1994). He is research work involve the study of birth defects genetics epidemiology. Currently he coordinator of Collaborative Study for Congenital Malformations in Latin America, ECLAMC; investigator of the Consejo Nacional de Investigaciones Científicas y Técnicas (CONICET), Argentina, since 1992; advisor in epidemiology of congenital defects for The International Centre Births Defects (ICBD), Rome-Italy; Director of Research at the Centro de Educación Médica e Investigaciones Clínicas (CEMIC) since 2006; Professor at the Instituto Universitario - CEMIC, Universidad de Buenos Aires (Post-graduation UBA); Associate professor of the post graduation National University, La Plata since 2004. Member of the managing committee of the National Institute of Population Medical Genetics – INAGEMP. Member of the ELAG academic committee. More than 100 publication indexed. In 2013 received the “Premio Konex Platino, 2013” in genetics.
